Book covers for Under The Volcano by Malcolm Lowry and A Scanner Darkly by Philip K. Dick, part of a set of screen printed book covers I made for my family's favourite books.
Screen printed book covers for Galapagos by Kurt Vonnegut and Berlin Game by Len Deighton, two of a set of book covers I made for my family's favourite books.
This is my old studio space in the illustration studio, Glasgow School of Art. I'm in the process of moving into my new space at Greencity Studios, in the East end of Glasgow. I'll miss this old place though...!
For a long time I didn't do much else but fill sketchbooks. These pages are from circa 1998. I didn't like them much when I did them. Now they jump out at me when I look through this book, though the flourescent yellow doesn't reproduce well here. I'll post some more soon.
This is a silk-screened book cover that I did last year. It was part of a project where students from Glasgow School of Art designed covers for books in the library of the University of the West of Scotland in Paisley. Before I took it out, this book had not been taken out of the library for 20 years!
I made these book covers for my sister and brother-in-law for christmas. They were originally going to be silk screen prints but in the end I printed them digitally although using the same process as for silk screen - using separations which I coloured digitally.
